چکیده

Let Uq be the quantum group associated to a Lie algebra g of rank n. The negative part U− of U has a canonical basis B with favourable properties (see Kashiwara [6] and Lusztig [11, §14.4.6]). The approaches of Lusztig and Kashiwara lead to a set of alternative parametrizations of the canonical basis, one for each reduced expression for the longest word in the Weyl group of g. We show that if g is of type A4 there are close relationships between the Lusztig cones, canonical basis elements and the regions of linearity of reparametrization functions arising from the above parametrizations. A graph can be defined on the set of simplicial regions of linearity with respect to adjacency, and we further show that this graph is isomorphic to the graph with vertices given by the reduced expressions of the longest word of the Weyl group modulo commutation and edges given by long braid relations.

Rectangle diagrams for the Lusztig cones of quantized enveloping algebras of type A

Let U be the quantum group associated to a Lie algebra g of type An. The negative part U of U has a canonical basis B defined by Lusztig and Kashiwara, with favourable properties. We show how the spanning vectors of the cones defined by Lusztig [12], when regarded as monomials in Kashiwara’s root operators, can be described using a remarkable rectangle combinatorics. We use this to calculate th...

The Lusztig cones of a quantized enveloping algebra of type A

We show that for each reduced expression for the longest word in the Weyl group of type An, the corresponding cone arising in Lusztig’s description of the canonical basis in terms of tight monomials is simplicial, and construct explicit spanning vectors.

Canonical basis linearity regions arising from quiver representations

In this paper we show that there is a link between the combinatorics of the canonical basis of a quantized enveloping algebra and the monomial bases of the second author [21] arising from representations of quivers. We prove that some reparametrization functions of the canonical basis, arising from the link between Lusztig’s approach to the canonical basis and the string parametrization of the ...

Constructing Canonical Bases of Quantized Enveloping Algebras

Since the invention of canonical bases of quantized enveloping algebras, one of the main problems has been to establish what they look like. Explicit formulas are only known in a few cases corresponding to root systems of low rank, namely A1 (trivial), A2 ([Lusztig 90]), A3 ([Xi 99a]), and B2 ([Xi 99b]). Furthermore, there is evidence suggesting that for higher ranks the formulas become so comp...
